Teresa Rogers is a native of the Carolinas. She began painting in pastels at an early age and winning awards. For many years she painted in watercolors and attained signature memberships in the watercolor societies of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and the Southern Watercolor Society. Teresa now paints mainly in oils and has won many awards. She has studied with Sherrie McGraw, Qiang Huang, Robert Johnson, Catherine Anderson, and Christian Hemme. Her paintings are included in private and corporate collections.
The process of painting is learning to see, to become aware of the beauty of God's creation all around us. My goal is to start with a concept that I want to communicate to the viewer in order to make the commonplace uncommon. Most often this includes the beauty of
light and color.
